About Dave
After being a steel worker…(Pukka pies no compromise!) for five years, I left due to the strike and joined my first band ‘Celebration‘. I was spotted by ABC and promptly joined them for a world tour… Whoopee, boy to man! After the tour I returned to Sheffield and formed my own band with Dave Palmer - ex ABC…
now Rod Stewart drummer. We were signed to Epic and were ‘Person To Person‘. After two supporting tours we seemed to be getting nowhere… ahem!… slowly, but whilst getting the band together I had brief stints with Animal Nightlife and also with Carmel… and I was a Jazzateer!
I then re-joined ABC for three albums. Whilst working with them I did a tour with Pino Danielle in Italy and also worked with Texas. After ABC I was electro mad and sought after the icons of a generation…

… to name a few. Then I met up with Tim Simenon and joined Bomb The Bass.
Here I had great pleasure to make an album with BTB (Clear) and to work with some top
geezers Including: Depeche Mode, David Bowie, Micheal Hutchence, Kraftwerk, Massive Attack, Bono, Gavin Friday and Paul McCartney.
I left BTB after completing the album ‘Ultra’ with Depeche Mode then went on to co-produce with Toy, the Human League’s last album ‘Secrets’, Flatz (Austrian abstract artist), Kamouflage (German 80’s electro lords) and Butt Cowboy (ex Frankie Goes To Hollywood).
I then left to pursue a world tour with Simply Red and record the L.P. ‘Home’ Also during this time I worked with Lionel Richie plus another of my electro heroes, The Pet Shop Boys.
Recently I’ve done a few live appearances with ‘Mario‘ (top R&B head from U.S.) Also recorded with Lucy Silvas, Tunde, Shakira, and Estelle. Toured with Simply Red again and recorded on ‘Simplified’ album.
Despite this long list of names and the droppings of them… The Zone is where my heart is.
Myself and Mr. Marco Perry have come together to make our own music and in order to satisfy our own diverse musical interests and including composing, recording and production. We sincerely hope that you enjoy our Pressure Zone.
